In the Chinese world, kombucha tea has been around for more than 2,000 years. However, in the US world and Western World, it became popular only a few years ago. Since I discovered kombucha, it has become one of my favorite tea beverages.
There are countless of kombucha benefits, but I will stick to some of the most important. Because of the many kombucha benefits, the tea has been called “mushroom tea” and “elixir of life”. No matter how you call it, there are many reasons why you should drink this immortal health elixir that has been around for millenniums.
Kombucha tea has been made from sweetened tea that is then fermented by SCOBY (a symbiotic colony of bacteria and yeast). To prove some of the kombucha benefits, there were dozens of scientific studies in the 20th century done in Germany and Russia.
